Marko Grilc was a professional snowboarder, innovator, mentor and dedicated family man.
Constantly reinventing himself, Grilo was a pioneer, transitioning from traditional career paths to vlog series and social content well before it was the norm. With the arrival of his firstborn Maxx, and later his daughter Emma, Grilo shifted his career to center around family. He and his wife Nina, worked together to show families around the world how to raise their children standing sideways.
With an intention to keep his legacy alive, his family created this online shop.

After 22 successful years as a pro snowboarder, countless competition wins, major movie parts, endorsement deals and web series Grilo suffered a life altering back injury on 23rd of November 2016. As a result the Grilo family decided spending time together was more important than anything else, so both Grilo and his wife Nina arranged their time in a way that made it possible for them to travel and experience snowboarding as a form of fun and healthy lifestyle for the whole family.
Traveling around the globe and visiting countless resorts, became a way of living for the Grilos, and sharing their life and laughs through social media channels inspired thousands around the globe to get out there and shred with their kids.
On 23rd of November 2021 Grilo lost his life doing what he loved the most. The world will never be the same without him, but he left behind a legacy that his kids Maxx, Emma, Alaska and generations to come will carry on in his name.
Our friends started a fund as their way of giving back to Marko. To provide support for our kids and give them the best support in education, life and snowboarding. It feels right that for all the inspiration Marko has given us over the years we can give back a little and support his legacy in this way. This is what Marko would have done for anyone else :)
